As a care organisation, you are already helping to boost the knowledge and confidence of the people you support.  Would you like to be part of a new Devon wide project that aims to further improve the resources available to the community you serve?

Recent funding from The Innovation in Healthy Ageing Programme* has opened up the opportunity for Health and Care Videos to launch the Devon Digital Carers project.  We are offering 60 care organisations across the county the opportunity to signpost the carers you support to over 350 informative health and care videos, via a library linked to your own website as well as an app version.

This project follows on from a successful pilot rolled out in Torbay last year.

Watch this video to find out more about the project.

The videos in the library are designed to be bite sized and easy to understand, ranging from topics such as ‘preventing falls’ and ‘how to communicate with someone who has dementia’ through to ‘caring for yourself as a carer’ and ‘dealing with anxiety’.

There are also links to local resources such as support groups and advice on benefits contained within the video libraries, providing you with a central place to find information to help you.

As a qualifying care organisation, we are offering you your own complementary, personalised version of this library absolutely free for a two year period.   The library and app act as an extension to your website and are customised to carry your own logo, fully branded in your colours and requires just 10 minutes of input from you to get set up.

We will be on hand to offer advice on how to share the library and videos with your communities including example posts and short video clips to use across your social media accounts.

Here are some of the libraries already set up so you can see how they work.
